Семейство профессиональных коммерческих шрифтов от нью-йоркского объединения Village, предназначенные для дизайнеров и веб-мастеров. После того, как был готов дизайн для данного семейства шрифтов, началась работа по их реализации, которая продлилась в течении двух лет. В 2006 году данное семейство вышло в свет и предназначено оно прежде всего для дизайнеров различных направлений. Набор состоит из жирных, утонченных и курсивных шрифтов, в общей сложности число файлов представлено из 14 шрифтов формата OpenType. По завершении работы над данным семейством, эта версия была описана как элегантный набор шрифтов. Включает в себя 7 размеров для каждого шрифта, а также состоит из латинских символов, фигур в старом стиле, цифровых и графических символов. К сожалению, шрифты не поддерживают кириллицу.

Apex New supersedes Apex Sans, which was originally released in early 2003. Once the design was released, Chester started work on Apex Serif, Thirstype’s first OpenType font family; he returned to Apex Sans in early 2004, with a view to extending the glyphset and combining the Small Caps and numeral sets into OpenType fonts. As he worked, he started seeing the type’s faws, and set about fxing them. Two years later, Apex New was fnished. All weights of the type have been revised, and everything heavier than Book has been completely redrawn. The bold weights which had previously “closed up”, especially at smaller sizes, are now more open with subtle contrast; the new version has been described as “elegant”. The family has grown to seven weights, with over a thousand glyphs in each font. The font fles are cross-platform CFF-favoured OpenType, with loads of basic and advanced features.
